 Snack the Globe

Creating snack experiences for Canadians through the flavours, cultures, and stories of the world.

Unboxing the
Snack the Globe story

It started as an idea during the winter months of lockdown and developed into a business by Garrett Gaudet & Camilo Galvis, Fanshawe College Woodstock/Oxford Business Entrepreneurship alumni.

With a passion for travel, the duo wanted to create a concept where people could stay at home while exploring regions and countries through their culture & the distinctive flavours of their snacks.

Our in-house snack specialists work tirelessly to curate a collection of stimulating flavours for each snack box. With extensive research, taste testing and local collaboration, we have created a memorable experience.

After you have tried the snacks in a box, your feedback will be used to produce future boxes.

Growing up in Woodstock and owning a business in Downtown Woodstock, I've developed a strong connection to the community. Teaching at the Fanshawe College Woodstock/Oxford Campus, volunteering with the Woodstock Santa Claus Parade, Downtown Woodstock BIA and the Woodstock Sister City committee have proved to be very rewarding by making a positive impact in my hometown.

Launching Snack the Globe with the Oxford Snack Box is an initiative to support local small business owners. Showcasing unique products that are produced in our region. I recognized the opportunity to create a platform where supporting multiple local businesses at once has never been easier.

I have always been obsessed with culture and foreign languages. Travelling solo for the first time when I was 14, I was fascinated by the different ways each country has to do things. For example, in Canada dinner is the main meal of the day whereas in Latin America lunch is the biggest meal, why? These types of situations are what keeps my interest alive!

Developing Snack the Globe was a logical project for me to use this passion and my business and design skills in a meaningful way. My objective is that each box brings our customers joy, makes them better global citizens and provides them with valuable knowledge.
